With the first Nike Track Nationals at Hayward Field on Friday night in Eugene,  the Barlow Bruins will compete knowing a huge reason the team is in the meet won't be able to help.
 
Ryan Crouser, one of the best prep throwers in the country, broke his foot in practice early in May, and his absence lowers considerably the Bruins' chances of winning. Still, coach David Kilian said, it wasn't just one person who got the Bruins to the meet.
